On this exciting trail you will encounter the dunes of the Namib Desert through the Namib Nauklufft National Park. Visit some shipwrecks and enjoy a relaxing coastal drive while encountering Cape Fur Seals, jackal and birdlife. We will also past the RAMZAR heritage site of Sandwich Harbour.
Get together in Swakopmund Atlantic Villa and Conference Centre the night before (or similar venue), to meet the guides, meet fellow travellers and discuss the upcoming adventure. Accommodation and dinner, at own cost.
Depart from Swakopmund, or Rooibank 09h00, (Breakfast not included). After allocating two way radios we start with our journey. You will encounter dune driving in the Namib Desert that will test your driving skills and arrive late afternoon near Conception Bay to set up camp and enjoy dinner and discussions of the day experiences. On route we will visit FOSSIL dunes dated back millions of years.
After breakfast we will proceed towards Conception Bay, again dune driving next level and enjoy the different faces of the Namib Desert. Arrive late afternoon to set up a desert camp in Conception Bay area and enjoy dinner prepared by our chefs.
Leave after breakfast to visit the shipwrecks Eduard Bohlen at Conception Bay and then the Shawnee, from where we will encounter impressive roller coaster dune driving until we reach our campsite at Sandwich Harbour (Ramzar heritage site) to enjoy our last evening in the Naukluftt National Park.
After breakfast will we leave for Walvis Bay where the tour end.
